Dark and brooding on the nose with an abundance of both red and black fruit, it’s the subtleties of this blend that provide lovely depth and nuance. Offering hints of grilled herb and rose petal from partial whole cluster Grenache fermentation, a smoky and earthy edge from the syrah, and the backbone of structure from the cabernet sauvignon. Each varietal within this blend expresses itself independently, while the sum of the parts is seamless, round, and supple on the palate with dusty tannin and good acid bringing length. Aged for 28 months in 100% French oak, of which 25% new. Harvested in multiple passes between September 12th – October 8th.
